A return to Scott Carpenter Pool in Boulder, Colorado, where I shifted focus from pure action to the emotional side of competition—capturing the anticipation, camaraderie, and quiet moments between races. Working in lower light conditions during overcast weather and evening heats, I adapted by using faster apertures, higher ISO sensitivity, and intentional use of natural shadows to create a more intimate and cinematic feel. While the previous year emphasized motion and precision, this collection highlighted human connection and storytelling through expression and atmosphere, resulting in a set of images that resonated deeply with both athletes and organizers for their authenticity and warmth.
